The trope, "Life is a journey," is a well-trodden path, from Tom Cochrane singing about life as a highway to Frodo Baggins' quest to return the ring to Mordor. Life as journey or life as pilgrimage is also common in religious traditions. When Jesus declares that he is "the way, the truth, and the life," what is he talking about? Is Jesus the path itself? Does Jesus provide the life at the end of the way? Is Jesus a fellow pilgrim and/or the pioneer of our faith? Fresh off the CROP Walk, let's keep our walking shoes on, as we walk in the dust of our Lord.
