The Christian aspires to be Christ-like. This is not a desire to become God; it is the desire to see what Jesus sees, to hear what Jesus hears, to feel what Jesus feels, and to care for whom Jesus cares for. To be Christlike is to extend God's heart for justice and compassion into our world through our actions. This week in worship, we remind ourselves we worship a God who remembers and intercedes for the poor, challenging our conceptions of who matters, what is enough, and what we should do with our money. Come and worship the God who comforts and who challenges.
