Once upon a time, the world existed in blessing and curses. To be blessed was to flourish and experience peace; it was a way of feeling at home in one's skin and at home in God's world. To be cursed was the opposite. To be cursed was to be without home and without kin. Life was absent of flourishing and one was at war with oneself and others. The world of blessing and curse seems so distant to our world driven by success, progress, and advancement. What if, in the midst of all the innovation, we have lost something fundamental about being human? What if we have lost the state of being blessed by God?
This week in worship, we will re-inhabit a world of God's blessing and share in the feast of Jesus together.
