"The earth is the Lord's and all that is in it; the world and all who live in it." - Psalm 24:1
We are but actors in God's theater of glory. God has abundantly blessed each of us through creation and redemption. How shall we live in light of such grace and generosity? One of the metaphors we find in Scripture is that of a steward, a caretaker of an estate or household that is owned by another. God has given us so much—nature, church, family, friends, our very lives—and asked us to serve faithfully and compassionately as stewards as we care for and cultivate these gifts. This week, we will launch our stewardship campaign but worship will be about so much more—not just sharing our money with the church but sharing our gifts and our lives with God's world.
