It's field trip season! And why should kids have all the fun? IPC will be taking a field trip to a new art exhibition in Manhattan, at Ross + Kramer Gallery (515 W 27th Street, New York, NY).
Exploring faith through art, Devon DeJardin's exhibition, 'Of Dust and Breath,' at Ross + Kramer Gallery opened last month. DeJardin’s study of world religion and spiritual traditions informs much of his artistic practice. With 'Of Dust and Breath,' the artist turns his focus toward beginnings, reflecting on concepts of creation, divine intention, and human transgression. The exhibition's title refers to the biblical notion that humanity was formed from the dust (or clay) of the earth and given life through the breath of spirit.
We will plan to meet at Irvington Presbyterian at 3pm (carpools will be coordinated). You are also welcome to meet at the gallery at 4pm. Dinner in the city will also be planned for those who wish to extend their time together. Please contact Rev. Crawford if you are interested in attending.
